If you've ever burned actual palo santo — the real wood, not a spray — you know the smell is almost impossible to describe to someone who hasn't. It's warm and woody, but also sweet in a resinous, almost citrusy way, with something slightly smoky underneath that makes it feel ancient and grounding all at once.
We were obsessed with getting this one right because palo santo is easy to get wrong — too heavy and it becomes incense-shop overwhelming, too light and you lose everything interesting about it.
Think: a wood-paneled room, late afternoon light, a stack of books, and the very specific calm of having nowhere to be.
The sage here isn't the herbal-kitchen sage — it's the smudge kind, dry and earthy and a little wild. Together with palo santo, they create something that genuinely transforms a space. Not in a marketing-speak way. In a "I lit this and suddenly felt better" way that our customers keep telling us about.
This is one of our anchor scents, a best-seller for a reason that truly embodies the Desert Southwest.

CANDLE CARE
• Allow your candle to burn until the full surface has melted — this ensures a full melt pool and an even burn for the life of the candle.
• Trim your wood wick to 1/4" before every relight. Nail clippers work great, or grab one of our wick trimmers.
• Avoid power burning (burning longer than 4 hours at a time).
• Keep your candle within eyesight and away from flammable items.
